Sample Shore Excursions in King's Wharf, Bermuda
Aquarium, Caves and Attractions Tour

This scenic tour of beautiful Bermuda features some of the island's major attractions. Enjoy photo opportunities at the famous pink sand beaches along the South Shore and the Bermuda Botanical Gardens, a 36- acre park hosting a large variety of plant life. You will also pass by Camden, the official residence of the Premier of Bermuda, before arriving at the Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo. This complex features everything from chattering cockatoos to tiny seahorses, as well as over 75 different species of fish, an aviary, children's touch pond, flamingos and giant turtles. Your next stop is at the Crystal Caves. Accidentally discovered in 1907 by two boys looking for a lost ball, the Crystal Caves is one of Bermuda's most intriguing attractions. Descend 81 steps -- 120-feet below the surface -- to the clear waters of the cave floor. Note: The steps in the cave can get slippery at times. Sensible walking shoes are recommended and caution should be taken when descending and ascending the steps. Approximately 5 hours.

South Shore Highlights and Shopping

Enjoy the splendor of Bermuda as your driver takes you for a three hour sightseeing adventure of the island starting from the beautiful West End. Cruise past Bermuda's famous pink sand beaches of the South Shore while you enjoy photo stops of some of the island's major highlights. Enjoy a stop at Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, which was built in 1849 and is the oldest cast iron lighthouse in the world. Your driver will point various island attractions, such as the Island Pottery Center, the Maritime Museum and the Crafts Market. Passing over the Somerset Drawbridge, the smallest working drawbridge in the world, you will arrive in Hamilton where there will be time for shopping, sightseeing or dining at one of the many restaurants located on Front Street. Transportation back to the ship is at your own expense. Approximately 3 hours.

Railway Trail Cruise and Bike Tour

This is a great tour for the active person who wants to see some of the little known views of Bermuda. The original Bermuda Railway ran from one end of the island to the other, running on narrow gauge tracks offering some of the island's most spectacular views with stunning seascapes, lush gardens and exotic flora and fauna across the island. The train and tracks are long gone but the trail still remains, providing locals and visitors with the ultimate leisurely pedal bike tour route. Enjoy a short boat cruise to the starting point where you will be provided with a 21-speed mountain bike. After a short orientation, your ride begins. During the bike ride your guide will offer informative commentary while stopping at various points of interest. The pace is relaxed along the five to eight miles of mostly flat paved and dirt trails, suitable for the beginner to average cyclist. Following the ride you will have time for a refreshing cool off swim before the return boat cruise. Note: This is an active tour. Guests should be in reasonable physical condition to participate. Minimum age is 12 years. Comfortable sneakers are recommended, as well as a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Approximately 3 hours.

Glass Bottom Undersea Nightlife Cruise

This is a perfect choice for those guests that would like to experience something truly different. Enjoy an evening cruise under the stars with entertaining commentary and a "floor show" that is out of this world. Upon arrival at the coral reefs surrounding Bermuda and the wreck of the "Vixen", the underwater spotlights will illuminate the undersea world. You will marvel at how the coral reef comes alive at night beneath the boat's glass bottom. The shy creatures that normally hide in the cracks and crevices of the reef are out foraging for food. The crew's lively and entertaining anecdotes will inform and amuse you as you enjoy Bermuda's "night life" from a completely different point of view. Enjoy a complimentary "Dark 'n Stormy", a local rum drink, soft drinks on the return trip. A cash bar is also available. Approximately 2 hours.
