Step back in time! You will travel past Reading, Anchovy then Montpelier, before arriving at the Belvedere Estate, one of the first estates to be burnt in the 1831 Christmas Rebellion (before Emancipation of the Slaves). On the Estate, your tour begins at the Great House, ruins of the original overseer's house that was built in the early 1800 century and a stark reminder of the Rebellion of 1838. You will then be taken to the Cookhouse, which is a reproduction of the original building and chimney, which now houses a modern kitchen. Your tour continues to the Trash House Restaurant, a thatched building, portraying the old trash house where sugar cane trash was stored, which is now used to provide shade and shelter. Next you will visit the ruins of the original Sugar Factory, made of cut-stone and Georgian-style. Continuing to the Sugar Broiler - you can witness the process of boiling the juice to get the wet brown sugar, which is the healthiest and nutritious type of sugar you could eat. At the Craft Village, you will see traditional hand built houses built in the traditional styles of the 19th Century, place mats made from coconut palm leaves and baskets made from vines as well as drying platforms used to dry coffee and pimento. Your tour will also take you through time to visit various interesting areas such as the buttery and cook shop, herbal garden, blacksmith and bakery to see how things were done in the 1800's. The Village Shop is a gift shop where you can purchase craft products and health sugar as souvenirs of your visit. You will also enjoy cultural performances of old times by Mento musicians. After this very interesting tour, you will return to the ship. Approximately 3 ½ hours.

You will depart the pier in an air-conditioned coach for a scenic 25 minute drive along the coast. You will pass small towns, nestled on the hillside as well as the world renowned Tryall Golf Course, home of Johnny Walker's Golf Tournament. Upon arrival at Chukka Blue, you will have the opportunity to visit Blue Hole, which is a sixteenth century sugar estate situated on 757 acres. Once on horseback you will see a reconstructed Great House of the estate where Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburg were entertained by the former Custos of Hanover in 1966 during their visit to Jamaica. Stack and ruins of the old water wheel is still intact and visible from the ride. One of the original breadfruit trees brought to Jamaica by the infamous Capt. Bligh of the sailing ship "Bounty" was planted there. You will be offered refreshments while the guides unsaddle your mount and prepare for the swim. You remount your horse, bareback with a halter, and enter the sea for the experience of a lifetime. Afterwards, you can relax and take a shower for the return trip to the ship. Approximately 3 hours.

Enjoy a leisurely raft ride on a gentle bamboo river raft (2 persons per raft) - this is not white water rafting. Rafting is synonymous to Jamaica, and a tour not to be missed. Board air-conditioned busses at the pier for a drive through the mountainous interior, arriving 30 minutes later at a village called Lethe. You will board your raft carefully and be on your way for a once-in-a lifetime experience as you raft on Jamaica's great river. Your experience begins on a state of the art specially designed semi-submarine catamaran, where you are just a short cruise away from an area known as "Sergeant Major" next to a large reef. Once there you will be given the opportunity to snorkel or enjoy viewing the ocean's delights through any of the four air- conditioned chambers, which seat approximately 12 persons each. You will be able to see fascinating coral walls, undersea gardens and exotic tropical fish. Then it's anchors away along the scenic Montego Bay coastline until you reach world famous Doctor's Cave Beach, which is also part of the marine park, home to more spectacular sea life. During your return trip to the pier, there will be music and dancing onboard. Rum Punch, Soft Drinks and Fruit Punch will be served. You will pass by the Montego Bay Free Zone, which is home to many American garment manufacturing, Telemarketing and Data entry companies, then on to Howard Cooke Boulevard. Your tour takes you along the outskirts of the city center then along the hotel strip, passing landmark hotels such as the Casa Blanca -- one of Montego Bay's first hotels. After passing by Doctor's Cave Beach, which was once the playground of the rich and famous, you then arrive at the famous Rose Hall Great House, once home to the White Witch of Rose Hall. Your guide welcomes you and offers you a taste of the exotic "Witches Brew", a complimentary drink named after the infamous witch, who once ruled the Great House, American millionaire, John Rollins now owns the Great House. Legend has it that the "White Witch", Annie Palmer, murdered her four husbands in addition to numerous slaves who worked the plantation. It is said that Annie herself was murdered by one of her lovers, a cunning slave who decided to exact revenge on her. After this very informative tour you will drive through Ironshore Estate, a prime residential area, then on to Downtown Montego Bay where you will have a chance to shop at one of the Craft Markets and the City Center's Duty Free Shopping Plaza, before returning to the ship.
