Imagine spending your day on a secluded uninhabited Island off the coast of Pacific Mexico. A short taxi ride takes you to the Catamaran wharf where you will board a catamaran for a 40-minute sail across the bay to Deer Island. Landing on a beautiful white sandy beach where you can swim, lay in the sun, enjoy a game of volleyball or swim in the ocean. The highlight of your day is the 45-minute kayak trip around the protected side of the Island to explore the amazing rock formations, bird life or a small cove. If you choose, there is an optional walk with your guide up an easy trail to see some amazing views of Mazatlan before proceeding back to the beach to in order to re-board the catamaran for your return to catamaran wharf. There is an optional drop off in the Golden Zone for guests wishing to shop however; in this case you will be responsible for your own transportation back to the ship. Equipment and transportation are included, no experience necessary. Approximately 5 hours.

You are taken from the ship to a 35 foot fishing boat for a fantastic day of deep sea fishing! Mazatlan is famous for salt water fishing, and is known as the "fish trap" where Marlins have been known to run up to 750 lbs.! Your fishing experience is completely catered. On arrival at "Las Moras", you will have plenty of time to sunbathe by the swimming pool, relax in the lounge, stroll in the gardens or enjoy a 45 min. horseback ride in the foothills surrounding this exclusive working ranch. This "get acquainted" ride will take you through some of the fine residential districts and the heart of the downtown section along Olas Atlas. You'll see all the sights, including El Cid Country Club, and the deluxe hotels on Gaviotas (Seagull) beach. Most of all, you'll have plenty of shopping time. Mazatlan offers you a wide selection for shopping, and you have ample time to take advantage of Carnival Cruise Lines recommended stores program. Highlights of your tour include the shopping stop at the "Golden Zone" shopping area, during which you will view the fantastic Aztec Indian Papantla Show, as featured in the 1986 World's Fair. This exciting show that features the daredevil Papantla flyers who ascend a 75 ft pole and on cords descend spinning and spiraling to the ground! Approximately 3 ½ hours + Shopping Time.

This spectacular Robert Trent Jones Jr. championship course is thought of as one of the best golf courses in all of Mexico, and respected by some of golfs top players. The course is designed on two miles of unspoiled coastline with the rolling surf visible from every hole. The back nine is the most spectacular, as the 13th and 14th holes parallel a river as you head toward the sea. With the prevailing wind in your face and water hazards protecting the golf course, even the best golfers will be in for a very challenging day!
