Begin your tour with a short transfer to the Westerkerk (Western Church) and the small statue of Anne Frank to begin a short walk to the Anne Frank House where you will visit the former hiding place, where Anne Frank wrote her diary.
The museum tells the history of the eight people in hiding and those who helped them during the war. Anne Frank's diary is among the original objects on display.
Due to the limited size of the interior of the Anne Frank House, the visit is self-guided. Despite all the renovations, the core of the museum, the Secret Annex, has remained in authentic condition.
Following the visit to the Anne Frank House, enjoy a scenic drive around central Amsterdam passing such highlights as the Baroque Royal Palace at the Dam square (the Queen's residence when she visits the city), the Nieuwe Kerk or New Church (a 550-year old church, site of numerous coronations and resting place of many important Dutchmen), the Mint Tower (built in 1618 over a medieval gate, a place where coins were minted), and the 15th century Weepers' Tower, followed by a return transfer to the ship.
>Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 0.5 mile over uneven and cobblestone surfaces and 30 to 65 steps at Anne Frank House. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Due to the amount of steps to be navigated in the House, this tour is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties or wheelchairs. Guests are reminded that the tour inside the Anne Frank House is not guided and will be explored independently.

This combination tour offers an excellent overview of the city, famous for its canals and gabled houses. Depart by coach from the pier for a panoramic city tour of Amsterdam. You will drive past the Baroque-style Royal Palace, built on 13,695 pilings sunk into marshy soil. Upon its completion in 1655, it was hailed as the Eighth Wonder of the World. You will also pass the famous Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), originally built in the 15th century, as you make your way to the heart of the city, Dam Square.
Towers and steeples are among Amsterdam's loveliest features. You will pass the Munttoren (Mint Tower), with clock and bells that still seem to mirror the Golden Age. Also of interest is the 15th century Scheierstoren (Weepers' Tower), which according to legend, derived its name from the sailors' wives who used to bid their husbands an emotional farewell.
As many sights are only accessible from the water, a tour of Amsterdam would not be complete without a scenic cruise along the city's canals. Aboard a glass topped motor launch, you will glide through the historic canals passing elegant merchants mansions, churches and warehouses dating back to the 16th and 17th century. You will also pass one of the most famous sites in Amsterdam, the Anne Frank house. At the conclusion of your cruise you will return directly to the ship.
Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 0.5 mile over uneven surfaces with 10 to 15 steps, including steps to enter/exit the boats. Participants should take care while entering/exiting the canal boats. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Due to major road construction being performed throughout Amsterdam, tour sequence may be varied in order to avoid congestion.
