Travel to the western part of Tunis to explore the remarkable Bardo Museum. Discover the exhibits spread over an extensive part of the former palace. From La Goulette, the coach will take you to the Bardo Museum, housed in the former Bardo Palace, the official residence of the Husseinite byes. Inside, the collection is broken down into sections that cover the Carthaginian, Roman, early Christian and Arab-Islamic eras. The Roman collection contains one of the finest collections of Roman mosaics and statuary anywhere. The Bardo Museum is famous for its wide collection on mosaics and major finds from Carthage, early Christian and Muslim relics. You will then proceed by coach to Tunis to enjoy a brief city tour before arriving at the Medina, the ancient city. You will savor the sounds, the sights and scents of the markets. From Medina, you will drive to a restaurant where a buffet lunch will be served. After lunch, continue with the Ruins of Carthage, including the Punic Ports and the Baths of Antonius Pius. Your final stop is the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said, with blue and white sugar-cube houses scattered across the hillside above the sea. Ample time will be given to admire the typical architecture and local handicrafts, or to relax in one of the local teahouses.

Next, re-board your coach and travel to the impressive ruins of Carthage. Founded by the Phoenicians, it was from this very powerful North African city that Hannibal began his famous journey. Depart quayside and proceed towards the more modern part of Tunis before driving along the main road of Ave Habib Bourguiba where you will see the many coffee shops and the bustling life of the every day Tunisian life, the 5-star hotels and monuments. Continue towards Carthage where you will drive to and see the Punic Ports and where a photo stop will be given. From there proceed to the amphitheatre for another photo stop. Proceed towards Byrsa Hill where you will leave the coach for a short walk to a vantage point where you will have a panoramic view over Tunis. A comfort break will be made along the way. Return to the port for re-embarkation.
