City Tour and Cliff Divers

This leisurely sightseeing tour will show you the highlights of Acapulco, and you'll see the death-defying feats of Acapulco's high cliff divers. Your tour begins with a short drive to a scenic overlook to view the city below. Continuing to the outskirts of town, stop at either the Acapulco Princess Hotel, constructed to resemble an Aztec Pyramid, or the Mayan Palace Hotel, which resembles a Mayan Temple, and features a mile-long swimming pool. You'll also pass many other luxury hotels, the Acapulco Center, the residential areas, shopping centers, and the sharp contrasts of the old and new parts of the city.

Your final stop will be at a hotel situated high above the sea for one of the most memorable sights of your trip. As you enjoy a complimentary refreshment watch as Acapulco's amazing cliff divers leap from rock formations, some as high 132-feet, and plunge gracefully into the sea below. You'll then board your motor coach for the return drive to the ship.

Night Divers, Fort's Light and Sound Show

Learn the history of Acapulco from a new perspective, with water screens based on the wall of San Diego Fort. A light and sound show highlights the early stages of Acapulco and as a major commercial port, and the importance of this structure during the evolution of the city. This is a unique way to witness the past, with the latest technology available in the present.

Afterwards, visit the cliff side restaurant located above waters of La Quebrada cove and witness a night performance presented by the world-famous cliff divers of Acapulco. Using skill and experience, the divers time their dive when the waves and waters in the cove are highest. The highlight of the show will be when the master diver plunges headlong over 130 feet into the ocean waters below from the uppermost level of the jagged cliff with only the light from the burning fire below illuminating his way. Truly a sight not to be missed!

Its immaculate and narrow fairways are coconut palm lined and feature numerous water hazards to rest your nerve. The 6,355 yards, 18th and dogleg par 4, bends left around a large lake, producing a second shot that appears suspended in space over the pyramid of the Acapulco Princess Hotel before landing the green.

Homes, Arts and Heights Tour

The setting of Acapulco's green hills merging with the blue Pacific quite naturally provides inspiration for many an artist. This off-the- beaten-track excursion offers an excellent opportunity to glimpse the homes and tropical gardens of the rich and famous. Stop for refreshment at the famous Hotel Flamingos where Johnny Weismuller, John Wayne and Cary Grant once found refuge from the fast-paced life of Hollywood to spend their holidays. Ascend the hills overlooking Acapulco Bay, up to the Chapel of Peace located near the exclusive Hotel Las Brisas.

Afterwards, you will be taken to a hilltop home featuring a natural setting and views of the port below. A number of works by famous sculptor Pal Kepenyes harmonize with the surroundings. During the tour, a short stop will be made for those wishing to shop or have refreshment
