From the harbor, the tour proceeds along the west coast passing Holetown, where the British first landed in 1625. Further along, the tour passes through Speightstown, which is characteristically West Indian with its 19th century architecture, now housing quaint shops and restaurants. The drive turns inland and proceeds to Farley Hill National Park. The imposing ruins of a once magnificent plantation house are surrounded by gardens, lawns, an avenue of towering royal palms, gigantic mahogany, whitewood and casuarina trees. Partially rebuilt for the film Island in the Sun the structure was later destroyed by fire. The tour continues to the east coast and through Bathsheba, stopping at St. Johns Church for the panoramic view and the chance to see the tomb of Ferdinand Paleologus, a descendant of the last Greek Christian Emperor. Passing the Lion on Gun Hill, the final stop is at the exquisite Francia Plantation House. Nestled in a wooded area and surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, a welcome drink is served. Inside the house are some of the oldest known maps of the Caribbean and many unique antiques, owned by the resident Sisnett family for generations. This is one of the very rare Great Houses still used as a residence by the owning family, who invite you to share their ancestral heritage. The return journey to the ship will pass by Salters, the Garrison Savannah and Bridgetown.

This unique and original tour begins from the passenger terminal of the Bridgetown Port. After a short drive through Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, and along the south coast of the tranquil Caribbean Sea, a turn is made inland, through the areas of Rendezvous, Haggatt Hall (the Emancipation Statue), Salters, Charlesrowe Bridge and Gun Hill. The first stop, Orchid World, was officially opened in December 1998. Thousands of orchids are grown in shaded houses and outside on freestanding palisades. There are two Vandaceous houses, Phalaenopsis and Cattlyeas, two Dendrobium and a special propagation area. There is a fascination to the sight of orchid plants growing in mid-air, with their roots free of soil. Strategically placed information boards offer facts about the plants and a friendly staff is nearby to answer any questions. Fisherpond Plantation House, built in 1635, is the second stop, where you are greeted with a welcome rum/fruit punch on arrival. Fisherpond has been featured in such publications as: British Homes and Gardens, Spanish Vogue, Red Magazine and Town and Country, for its unique Barbadian architecture, antique furnishings throughout and manicured gardens. The resident owner, Mr. John Chandler, specializes in the building and repair of 18th and 19th century crystal chandeliers where guests may visit his workshop. The subject of Violet, a child who frequents Fisherpond House, along with two other friends, has been featured on the Diane Petty Show in Canada. Violet and friends were, of course, born in the 17th-18th century. The return journey to the port is via Market Hill, Locust Hall, Hothersal Turning, Warrens, The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus and the Spring Garden Highway.

The Jolly Barge comes alongside to take guests to the beach or you may remain on board. On the return journey, witness a pirate wedding and then party to the rhythms of the Caribbean. The tour includes rum, rum punch, beer and soft drinks. Persons under 18 years of age will not be served alcohol.
