Buck Island National Park Snorkeling

Buck Island National Monument is a breathtaking tropical underwater wonderland of blue water and colorful coral reefs. Maintained by the National Park Service, Buck Island Reef is an exciting destination for all levels of snorkelers. From Frederiksted enjoy a 30-minute drive to Christiansted, where you will board boats for a 30-minute ride out to Buck Island. An experienced guide will provide snorkel lessons before proceeding to the underwater trail. Plant and animal life abound in the clear, warm waters. After arriving back in Christiansted, you will be driven back to the ship. Complimentary sodas are included.

Rum Factory and Botanical Garden

Garden are included in the introductory tour of St. Croix. A drive through the Rain Forest takes you to the Botanical Garden. You will have approximately 45 minutes to stroll through the 17- acre park that was built over a pre-Colombian Indian settlement and the ruins of a 19th century sugar plantation. Your guide will point out the many species of colorful, exotic tropical plants and speak about the ruins found on the property. Leaving here, a short ride will take you to the Cruzan Rum Factory, manufacturers of the most popular rum in the Virgin Islands. A guided tour of this authentic distillery will take you through the plant where you will learn how the rum is produced. Following the guided tour, you will visit the guest pavilion to sample a complimentary rum beverage before returning to the ship. Please note that on certain local holidays and Sundays the Rum Factory may not be open. In this case a visit to the Whim Great House will be substituted.

Carambola Golf Club

Price includes round trip transportation, green fees and shared golf cart. Club rental $25.00 pp/Shoe rental not offered - Prices are not part of the golf package and are subject to change at anytime. Payable at the golf course only.

Butler Bay Nature Hike

A hike through this 225-acre preserve is a fun and informative experience for nature and history buffs. You will depart from dockside for a short ride to the beginning of the trail. The walk starts at the Ghut Bird Sanctuary where many different species have been observed. The hike continues up to the Estate Mount Washington Plantation. After exploring the ruins, the unpaved, graded trail winds up the mountain (moderately strenuous) for a panoramic view of Frederiksted harbor, Sandy Point Beach and the rain forest. As you continue the walk down the hill, many varieties of flora and fauna may be seen before ending up at Butler Bay. Be sure to wear cool clothing and covered footwear. Note: This is a 2 hour hike.
