Tortola Highlights

Board an open-air safari bus with a driver/guide for a scenic drive through beautiful Tortola. Listen to interesting commentary on the history and culture of the British Virgin Islands as your bus climbs Ridge Road passing the local villages of Long Trench and Fahie Hill. You'll stop near Sky World, the highest vantage point, for a view of the Virgin Islands and souvenir shopping. The tour continues to Cane Garden Bay, where a brief stop will be made to enjoy a complimentary beverage. Enjoy a walk on the beach or a quick swim. (Changing facilities are available). The tour continues along the north shore, over Zion Hill for the scenic drive along the Sir Francis Drake Highway back to Road Town where your tour ends at the cruise ship pier.

Sage Mountain Hike

For those of you who are energetic and would like to see something a little different try this tour into the interior of the island. Board open Safari buses for a short mountain drive to the Rain Forest at Sage Mountain. Enter the forest for exploration of this primeval paradise and hike to the highest point in the entire Virgin Islands. You should anticipate a walk through the forest of about one mile (1.6 kilometers) on uneven ground before re-boarding your bus. After your nature hike, rejoin the buses and drive along the Ridge Road to Harrigan's and descend Joe's Hill to Road Town. A short stop will be made at the Botanical Gardens before returning to the pier. Casual, flat shoes are essential and only energetic nature lovers are advised to take this tour.

North Shore

Board open-air Safari buses for a drive through Road Town and across this idyllic island. On the way to Fort Hill and Belle Vue, you will proceed along picturesque Ridge Road. The scenic vistas of Todman's, Meyer's and Chalwell will come into view as you continue across the island to the majestic North Shore via Windy Hill road. The tour continues past the villages of Carrot Bay, Apple Bay and Cappoon's Bay ascending Zion Hill to the western side of the island where you will stop at Pusser's Landing. Enjoy browsing in the intriguing boutiques and spice shop for a token souvenir. Board your tour bus for the scenic drive along the Sir Francis Drake Highway. A short stop is made at one of Tortola's premier resorts, where a complimentary drink is served. The tour ends back in Road Town and the ship.

Virgin Gorda

Journey across Sir Francis Drake Channel to Virgin Gorda and its famous baths. Departing the ship, you'll travel via motorized launch for approximately 45 minute cruise to Virgin Gorda, where an open-air safari bus will be waiting to transfer you the short distance to the Baths. The Baths were formed eons ago by volcanic activity, which resulted in the huge boulders being stacked one upon another. The massive boulders, some seemingly as large as houses, form secluded beaches and unusual grottos for you to explore. There is a marked trail winding through the boulders for those who want a bit of adventure. You'll have approximately two hours to explore, swim or enjoy the beaches prior to the return transfer back to the ship.
