This tour will be one of the highlights of your stay in Bermuda.
The glass-bottom kayaks are a fantastic way to view the beautiful underwater world of corals and fish. Not only will you be able to see the reefs and fish clearly, you'll feel safe and secure, as these special kayaks are extremely stable and easy to handle. After boarding the kayaks from either a beach in waist deep water or the transfer boat, you'll be instructed on how to kayak. The group will then paddle along beautiful shorelines made up of lagoons and fascinating rock formations at a relaxed pace for approximately one hour. Along the way one will usually see herons, Bermuda longtails and other different types of birds depending on the time of the season. As you paddle, quite often the water is calm and clear enough to see colorful coral reef and fish. All tours go past some of Bermuda's forts dating back to the 1600s. Your Bermudian tour guide will provide you with information all about the island's endemic flora, history and marine eco-system. The tour ends with a choice of a cooling swim or the option of relaxing on the boat. Complimentary bottled water and a safety vest are provided. Tour provides approximately 45 minutes (or more) of kayaking. All sites are excellent and the tour will go to the best site depending on weather conditions. Note: Kayaks are two-seaters and have a weight limit of 400 lbs. Children 12 years and under are required to be accompanied by an able-bodied adult. Wear a bathing suit and bring a towel.
