Once a pirate stronghold and haven for deserters from Oliver Cromwell's army, British Grand Cayman today is charming, prosperous and utterly civilized. Even though the famous Seven-Mile Beach is actually closer to six miles long, every inch of its golden sand is a treat. In addition to duty-free shops filled with fine English porcelain and crystal, the marvelous marine park system alone makes a visit here worthwhile. The Cayman Islands boast some of the wreck diving in the world.
Sample shore excursions:
- Discover Cayman Tour: Sit back, relax and enjoy the highlights of Grand Cayman, including a guided drive along Seven Mile Beach to the Gingerbread House and Turtle Farm with a stop at Hell - a small tourist village known for its unusual inferno rock formations.
- The Butterfly Farm & Seven Mile Beach Break: Experience a myriad of colors amid the lush local flora and fauna as your expert guide explains the fascinating habits of these beautiful creatures as well as the miracle of metamorphosis. Later, visit one of Grand Cayman's best beaches.
- Stingray Sandbar & Island Drive Tour: See Seven Mile Beach, a local rum cake store, and the famous rock formations in the town named 'Hell.' Then, it's off to Stingray City. Feed, feel and film these beautiful sea creatures on this exciting excursion!
- Atlantis Submarine Tour: Explore Grand Cayman's underwater marine park in an air-conditioned submarine. Huge barrel sponges and star corals abound at the reef while colorful snappers and groupers, even the occasional stingray and turtle, pass within a few feet of your large view-port.

Palancar Reef draws scuba divers from around the world. But it's only on eof the attractions of this tiny island off the coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Non-divers can visit the ruins of San Gervasio, where Maya women prayed to the goddess of fertility, or take a trip to the clifftop ruins of Tulum on the mainland. And neophyte snorkelers can have a guided tour of the marvelous undersea world in the shallow waters of Dzul-Ha.
Sample Shore Excursions:
- Tulum Mayan Ruins: The impressive cliff-top site of Tulum is one of the most famous landmarks of the Mayan world. Enjoy a guided tour of this walled city, its temples and buildings. Its cliff-top location gives the site a special atmosphere as well as great views.
- Sea Trek Helmet Dive & Pearl Farm Sea Trek helmet diving is the easiest and most comfortable way to explore underwater. At the Pearl Farm, a Sea TrekŪ guide and two safety divers in Scuba gear remain with the group. After the tour, enjoy complimentary snorkel equipment or shopping downtown.
- Cozumel Country Club Golf: Cozumel Country Club is a Jack Nicklaus-designed,18-hole championship golf course. The course totals 6,847 yards from the back tees and has a fully-stocked pro shop. The Club offers a package that includes transportation, shared golf cart and greens fees.
- Deep Sea Fishing: Cozumel attracts some of the best sportfishing in the Caribbean. Bring your enthusiasm and a little luck and leave the rest to the Captain and crew. The 31-foot Island Hoppers are rigged with a downrigger and outriggers, and all lines will be rotated throughout the tour.
- Snuba Adventure Dive: Snuba is a combination of snorkeling and Scuba diving, made fun, safe and easy. First, try out your skills and build your confidence then proceed to deeper water (15-18 feet), where you'll find schooling fish and brilliant coral formations.
