Start with a relaxing drive along the Kona and Kohala coast, through historic Parker Ranch lands and the cattle town of Waimea.
Explore the spectacular Umauma Falls, the most beautiful waterfalls in Hawaii, with a unique triple-tier formation tucked deep inside the World Botanical Gardens. Then take an easy stroll through a rainforest botanical garden where the level path winds along a mountain stream and the rare plants are clearly marked for easy viewing. Travel next to Akaka Falls, the tallest on the Big Island at more than 400 feet, before driving through a lush tropical forest filled with picturesque bridges over burbling streams and waterfalls. Then visit a tropical fruit and coffee plantation nestled along the Wailuku River. Here you'll enjoy a delicious picnic-style deli lunch and savor a farm-fresh cup of coffee brewed and roasted just for you, all while feeling the power and fury of the world-famous Rainbow Falls just feet from our private viewing platform! The return to Kailua-Kona takes you past expansive and breathtaking lava flows on a climb through the "saddle" between Mauna Loa, an active volcano, and Mauna Kea, home to world-famous observatories before rejoining the coast road to Kona.
