Depart from Sydney via motorcoach to travel to the charming lakeside community of Baddeck, where the famed inventor Alexander Graham Bell and his wife Mabel Hubbard Bell spent many happy summers at Beinn Breagh, their beloved retreat. On a hill above the waters of the Bras d'Or Lakes, a museum is dedicated to Bell's life and works. Audio-visual displays, galleries and replicas of some of Bell's greatest inventions provide a glimpse into the mind of this brilliant thinker, and a remarkable collection of photographs allows you into the family life of the Bells and their many well-known friends and relatives. After visiting the museum, there's time to explore the village of Baddeck, perhaps taking a stroll along the lakefront boardwalk or visiting a few of the many shops found along the main street, before boarding your coach to return to the ship.
