Explore the history, wildlife and geology of Kodiak on this scenic three-hour cruise.
Your captain is a 32-year Kodiak resident, biologist and high school teacher who has extensive knowledge of local flora, fauna, history and commercial fisheries.
Kodiak's human inhabitation, from early occupation to the Russian influence to WWII is explored with sights along the way. The tour takes you through local harbors and out to bird rookeries where you may see hundreds or even thousands of puffins, both tufted and horned. The comfortable, high-speed boat affords great visibility and the ability to get very close to wildlife.
Head out to local islands to see historic sites and abundant marine mammals. Especially numerous are the humpback whales which occasionally breech, much to the enjoyment of visitors.
Orcas sometimes cruise the local waters, feeding upon King salmon and halibut.
Small group size allows the captain to be flexible and chose the sights that best suit your interests. You are guaranteed a great time on this tour!
SPECIAL NOTES
This tour is available to Pacific Princess passengers only.
Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 do not need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
