    Numerous World War II bunkers are resilient reminders of Kodiak's part in the war. At the midpoint of the hike, there is a 30-minute stop at the Military History Museum located in one of the largest bunkers in the park. The walk ends back at park headquarters, where you board the bus and return to your ship with a camera full of memories.

    A short drive takes you along cannery row to the Kodiak Brewery for a tour and tasting of Ben's local creations. Travel past the small boat harbor and through the heart of old downtown en route to the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Learn about Kodiak's flora and fauna before embarking on a scenic drive past the largest Coast Guard base in the United States, originally built as a naval station during World War II.
