Located 12 miles off the southern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cozumel is known as the gem of the Mexican Caribbean. Perhaps its name reflects the fact that its temperate, crystal clear waters range in jewel tones from stunning turquoise to deep indigo.

Board the ferry for the approximately 45- minute transfer to the mainland town of Playa del Carmen. There you will meet your guide and board the transportation for the one-hour, narrated scenic drive to the ruins of Tulum. One of the most significant archaeological finds in the Yucatan, the ancient city is magnificently sited overlooking the Caribbean Sea. On arrival, your guide will give a 45 minute narrated tour. Then enjoy approximately an hour to explore some of the more than 60 individual structures still standing at this Mayan metropolis. Then travel to Xel-Ha, famed for its lucid water, tropical marine life, and excellent snorkeling. Enjoy two hours of free time to swim, snorkel (snorkeling equipment is not included), explore or simply relax by the lagoon. Changing rooms, fresh water showers, shopping and restaurants are available for your convenience. Return to the ship by the same route.

Board your transportation for the transfer to Parque Punta Sur, an ecological reserve on the southern end of the island. Upon arrival, you receive an orientation and kayaking instruction. Practice your skills on a two- person, sit-on-top kayak at Maracaibo Beach. Then follow your specially trained guide across the lagoon, passing a small island on your way to the mangroves thickets that harbor flamingos and egrets as well as schools of tropical fish. Paddle on to a white-sand beach at the lagoon’s mouth where complimentary refreshments and fresh fruit await you. Take a relaxing dip in the lagoon’s pristine waters before paddling back to your starting point for the transfer to the ship.

After a brief taxi transfer to Chankanaab National Park, you are greeted by the Sea Trek staff, who escorts you to their facilities. Receive a tour overview, instructions, and safety briefing prior to your guided underwater walk. As you enter the water, a helmet providing a constant air supply is placed on your head, resting on your shoulders. Follow your guide on an approximately 25-minute underwater tour of the park. After your excursion, you may choose to remain at Chankanaab Park for independent sightseeing. You are then responsible for your return to the ship.

Take a leisurely motor cruise to nearby Coche Island for some fun and sun on the beach. Sit back and enjoy the music and unlimited beverages of your choice on a leisurely 1 1/2 hour cruise on board a comfortable, modern motorized vessel. Your boat will anchor off the beautiful unspoiled beach of Coche Island, with its white sand and calm, clear waters. Here you will have plenty of time to time, sunbathe or beachcomb. Beach chairs and umbrellas ashore are included. Then it’s party time on board with music, dancing and ice-cold beverages during your cruise back to Isla Margarita.

Immerse yourself in Mexican culture on this combination excursion to Cozumel’s newest tour venue, Discover Mexico, and then spend some time on the beach or exploring Chankanaab Park.
Meet your guide at the pier who will place you in a local taxi for the short drive to Discover Mexico, a collection of displays and exhibits which showcase the cultural diversity of the country. Upon arrival an overview of the park will be provided and then enjoy ample time to explore the different sections of the park independently. The park features several components including a state-of-the-art video experience room, a popular art museum, an outdoor walk to explore scale models of pre-hispanic, colonial and modern Mexican wonders, and finally a souvenir shop where you can purchase unique arts, crafts and memorabilia related to Mexico and its culture. After discovering Mexico, hop in another taxi for the brief ride to Chankanaab Marine Park, known for excellent snorkeling, white-sand beaches, and a beautiful botanical garden that features re-creations of monuments and other items of interest from Mexico's indigenous Indians.
A guide will greet you upon arrival and provide an overview of the park. There are several places to grab a beverage or a meal and beach chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Snorkeling equipment is also available for rent. After ample time at the beach return to the ship with the pre-arranged taxi.

Learn the secrets of preparing delicious Mexican cuisine from a local chef and then enjoy some free time at the beach.
Board your transportation at the pier for the short drive to Playa Mia Grand Beach Park®. Upon arrival an individual work station will be assigned that includes all the ingredients and utensils required for the creation of a delicious Mexican meal, which you will prepare under the guidance of the chef. The chef will assist you every step of the way and answer any questions. Once the food preparation has been completed, enjoy your own creations accompanied by fine Mexican wines and a festive Mexican atmosphere. After sampling the “fruits of your labor” and before your
transfer back to the ship, enjoy free time on the beautiful beach.
There are complimentary beach chairs, non-motorized water activities including kayaks, paddle boats, a water trampoline and floating mats. Beverages are served throughout your stay at Playa Mia.

Located in the heart of the jungle of Cozumel, the excavated ruins at San Gervasio were once a major pilgrimage center for the Maya.
From the pier, board your air-conditioned transportation for the short ride to San Gervasio. En route your guide recounts the history of the highly advanced Mayan civilization and the unique value of this small, archaeological site, as well as interesting facts about the island. Following your 45-minute guided tour, enjoy approximately 45 minutes exploring the San Gervasio ruins on your own. Following your tour there will be some free time to shop before returning to the ship.
