A walking tour explores the heart of Rome. Toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain and stroll across the Piazza Navona, home to Bernini’s Fountains of the Waters. Visit the Spanish Steps and view the Pantheon, one of the most influential works of architecture in Western history.
- WHAT YOU VISIT ON YOUR WALKING TOUR
Trevi Fountain - Join the romantic custom of tossing a coin into Rome’s most famous fountain to ensure that someday you will return. You will walk through the narrow streets leading to a small, almost hidden piazza, which is overwhelmingly dominated by the massive Trevi Fountain and the hundreds of tourists that flock there daily. Blue-green clear water cascades over the ornate Baroque stone figures of Trevi, making it a sight to behold.
Spanish Steps - Built to connect three main arteries of Rome, varying flights of masonry steps with curved convex flanks and a straight ascent in front lead up to the Franciscan Church of the Trinità dei Monti. The steps were designed by an Italian but paid for by the French who wanted them as a spectacular preface to their church.
Piazza Navona - This immense and beautiful square is baroque in design, and is best known for its Fontana dei Fiumi, or Fountain of the Rivers. Created in 1601 by the famous architect, Bernini, this impressive fountain has a central obelisk anchored in an allegory of four rivers of the world.

The Pantheon, located in the Piazza della Rotonda, is a cylindrical building with 16 mighty columns supporting the portico and an enormous dome with a central opening for light. Italian kings are buried here, along with Raphael, the painter.
St. Peter’s Basilica - You will have free time at St. Peter’s Square to visit the landmark basilica on your own or just shop for souvenirs or browse at leisure.
- LUNCH
Lunch with wine will be served at a local restaurant/hotel.
