Your tour of beautiful Quebec City this afternoon begins with a drive to Cap-Diamant where you will stop for a photo overlooking the St. Lawrence River. This waterway is often referred to as the "Gateway to North America" since all ships traveling to the Great Lakes and its ports must pass through Quebec City.

Next drive through the Plains of Abraham, a park commemorating battles fought here in the 18th century, along the Grande-Allee to Dufferin Terrace and the imposing Chāteau Frontenac. This glamorous and stylish hotel owes its name to the flamboyant French governor Louis de Buade, Count of Frontenac, who ruled New France from 1672 to 1698. Keep an eye out for Frontenac's coat of arms, which you will first see on the outside wall of the entry arch. When you arrive you will hear a short historical narration about the hotel and then have some time to take photos and explore the area on your own.

Then, re-board your coach for the journey to the delightful Manoir Montmorency and some refreshments. Visit the spectacular Montmorency Falls and be dazzled by this natural wonder as it cascades below you. After seeing the falls from the top drive to the tip of Ile d'Orleans through Sainte-Petronille, head on down to the bottom of the falls for another photo stop and some time to enjoy this magnificent waterfall before returning to the ship.
