Explore the island paradise of the Tuamotu Archipelago's former capital during this scenic orientation tour via Le Truck.

Depart the pier aboard a Le Truck for a tour around the island paradise of Fakarava, the second-largest atoll after Rangiroa. Along the way, you will discover the charm of this idyllic motu, see the principal village and ancient temple sites, and learn how people lived in the Atoll Islands during ancient times.

Next, you will proceed for a visit to a present-day village. Along the way, you will see the 19th-century coral church, the black pearls from the island's lagoon and the intricate shell necklaces for which the Tuamotu Islands are famous. You will then observe a wide array of unique flora and fauna as you stroll down the village's shaded streets, which is surrounded by lush tropical forest. Leaving the village, you will proceed for a unique opportunity to visit another local village and observe the life of the islanders on the coral shores. You will see how rope is made from coconut husk, thatching from pandanus tree leaves and medicine from traditional plants. You will then take a drive along the northeastern side of this atoll.

Following a stop at the lighthouse for photos and a walk on the beach, you will be transferred back to the pier.
