    Aitutaki is a triangular-shaped atoll rising up 4,000 meters from the floor of the Pacific Ocean. It consists of three volcanic and 12 coral islets (motus).     Discover the beautiful gardens and historic artifacts of the South Seas during this delightful tour of scenic Fiji.

    Depart the pier for a brief tour of Lautoka City. You will drive South down Vitogo Parade, which is lined with royal palms, then pass by the central market en route to Vuda Point, the site where the first Polynesians landed on Fiji circa 1000 AD. A photo stop will then be made at Vitogo Village, located nearby on the outskirts of Lautoka City.

    Next, you will continue on for a visit to picturesque Burness House. Hosts Don and Aileen Burness will greet your arrival, then escort you on a walking tour through their landscaped gardens filled with fruit and flowering trees, arthurium lilies and lovely orchids. You will also view an extraordinary collection of Fijian artifacts, and be served morning tea, fruit juices and homemade cakes at the Burness' home.

    Following your visit, you will re-board your coach for the return drive to the pier. En route, a stop will be made at Nadi's central market to browse for souvenirs, jewelry, wood carvings, cloth, and traditional handicrafts.

    Get ready for an exciting trek through the picturesque Sabeto Mountains during this Fijian eco-tour adventure.

    Depart the pier via coach for the drive into the heart of the Sabeto Mountains. Upon arrival, you will take a guided drive through the rainforest. Along the way, your guides will point out traditional plants used for food and medicine. You will then pass sugarcane fields and villages along the Queens Highway en route to the famous Mountains of the Sleeping Giants. Nestled at the foot of these mountains is an ancestral village; the area's very first Christian village.

    Your tour will continue on with a stop at a remote Fijian village, where permission will be sought from the chief to venture onto his land. Upon arrival, you will be served a traditional kava. Afterward, you will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of relaxing diversions that include horseback riding, traditional fishing in water holes and a visit to the warm mud pools for a relaxing, therapeutic mud bath.

    Your visit will conclude with a guided rainforest trek to see an ancestral cave, learn more about traditional herbal medicine and take a swim in the cool, cascading waterfalls before returning for a local barbecue lunch.

    After lunch, you will re-board your coach for the return drive to the pier.

    Please note: This extremely active tour involves travel over rough and uneven surfaces, and is recommended for guests in excellent physical condition.     Experience the exquisite beauty of the South Seas during this relaxing sailing excursion to idyllic Tivua Island.

    Depart the pier for the brief transfer to Port Denarau's Lautoka Wharf, and your awaiting sailboat. After embarking the Ra Murama, you will begin your scenic cruise to Tivua Island, a sand-fringed coral island surrounded by 500 acres spectacular coral reefs. En route, you will be served morning tea on board the sailboat.

    Upon arrival at Tivua Island, you will be welcomed with a traditional kava ceremony. Afterward, a variety of activities will be offered to provide you with a closer look at the island's fascinating and colorful marine life; you can take a guided snorkeling tour, a glass-bottomed boat or canoe ride, or simply relax under the shade of a palm tree. During your visit, you will also be served a local buffet-style lunch including barbecued chicken, whole baked fish, and a selection of salads and fresh fruit.

    Following your visit, you will re-board the Ra Murama for the return cruise to Lautoka Wharf, then be transferred back to the pier.

    Explore Fiji's splendid beauty, culture and traditions during this scenic and memorable orientation tour of the island.

    Depart the pier for the scenic drive through Lautoka City, then on to Viseisei Village; the original landing site of the first Fijians that emigrated from Tanganika, Africa. Upon arrival, the Viseisei villagers will extend you a warm welcome and invite you to participate in a kava ceremony. The drinking of kava, Fiji's national drink, is one of the most common ceremonial and social customs in the islands. Afterward, the villagers will regale you with a traditional local song and dance performance, or meke.

    Next, a visit will be made to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. Nestled in a highland valley at the base of a mountain in the Sabeto Range, the garden was founded in 1977 by the late American actor Raymond Burr to house his collection of rare orchids. Today, it boasts one of the world's largest orchid collections and features over 2,000 varieties. During your guided tour, you will see hundreds of beautiful blooms in all shapes and colors. Your guide will also explain the names and characteristics of the abundant native flora and fauna.

    A brief stop will then be made at the Nadi Market, where you will have the opportunity to browse for souvenirs, jewelry, wood carvings, cloth and traditional handicrafts, before a drive through Lautoka's sugar cane plantations and commercial and residential areas before returning to the pier.

    Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, including inclines and many steps to climb at the gardens. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilize a wheelchair. Village visits will not take place on Sundays and local religious holidays.

    Upon arriving at Beachcomber Island, you will indulge in a relaxing, fun-filled day at the Beachcomber Island Resort.     Depart the pier for the scenic 1-hour drive through Lautoka City. Along the way, you will visit such points of interest as the sugar mill and South Pacific Distilleries; the local beer brewery. From here, your drive will continue through various neighborhoods and pass by Viseisei Village; the original landing site of the first Fijians that emigrated from Tanganika, Africa. Upon arrival in Nadi, a stop will be made at the local market for an opportunity to browse for souvenirs, jewelry and traditional handicrafts that include wood carvings and cloth.
