Shanghai is a vibrant city: an intoxicating blend of ancient culture and ultra modern mega-city. On this evening excursion, travel by coach to catch a magical view of Shanghai at night, starting with a drive through Asia's longest submerged tunnel, the Yan'an Lu Tunnel, to the Pudong area. Located on the eastside of the Huangpu River, Pudong is one of the most important financial and commercial areas in all of China. See the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, a symbol of modern Shanghai, and stop at the remarkable Jin Mao Building, the tallest building in China and currently the fifth tallest building in the world. Upon arrival, ride the express elevator to the Observation Lounge on the 88th floor, to view the impressive Shanghai skyline.

Reboard the coach for a drive along Riverside Avenue. Lying along the eastern bank of the Huangpu River and facing the Bund to its west, this roadway offers excellent views of the Bund's 19th-century buildings as well as the modern commercial district of Pudong. Continue the panoramic drive through the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, before re-crossing the river on the Nanpu Bridge. Drive through the Puxi district, long considered the city's commercial and cultural hub. The last stop before returning to the ship is at the People's Square, a vast urban park surrounded by government buildings, the Shanghai Museum, the newly built Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, an underground shopping mall and the Shanghai Grand Theatre.
