American Duchess for Tauck

The American Duchess, an American Queen Voyages riverboat featured in partnership with Tauck, is a majestic, boutique-style paddle wheeler that combines modern luxury with the graceful era of steamboat travel.

Dining options are regionally inspired, showcasing the varied cultural and culinary influences of America's heartland. Guests can enjoy elegant meals in the J.M. White grand dining room or opt for a more casual atmosphere and favorite main dishes in the Front Porch Café.

Unique amenities include The Show Lounge for nightly entertainment, the Lincoln Library for reading and gathering, and the Art Walk, a passageway featuring a series of paintings by Claude Monet with window seats perfect for relaxing. Onboard historians, known as Riverlorians, provide interesting lectures on the region's history and culture. The ship also features a fitness center, a Sun Deck with a walking track, and offers all-inclusive soft drinks, specialty coffees & teas, and house beer, wine & spirits.

The accommodations are noted for being some of the largest on the Mississippi River, ranging from 180 to 550 square feet. Unique to the ship are its two-story Loft Suites, which include floor-to-ceiling windows, two full bathrooms, a private balcony, and a separate lounge area. All staterooms feature a private balcony, a furnished lounge area, flat-screen satellite televisions, a coffee maker and mini refrigerator, and luxury bath amenities. Owner's Suites and Loft Suites also enjoy Commodore Services, including a River Butler.
