The folks at Viking knew what they were doing when they named this ship after the Norse god of beauty. Not only is the Viking Baldur a beauty with her minimalist approach and use of windows, but the views you see from her windows and from the ports you’ll visit are truly magnificent. The Viking Baldur has all the amenities you could want, from a library to an herb garden.

The time restraints were a bit difficult, some of the tours did not leave enough time to shop, some of the tour guides walked too fast for some of the passengers. But all in all, we had a terrific time and we will travel with Viking again in the future,
Pros: The service, the food was impecable, the attention to detail and crew were terrific!
Cons: Unfortunately we had to change ships after 5 days and 7 a.m. was a bit early to leave all of our luggage out for pick-up

The ship and crew exceeded expectations. Food was wonderful. Our stateroom steward took excellent care of us. The tours were great. We felt like a big family as we got to know each other. Am looking forward to planning another Viking cruise but not until I forget about the long flight home!
Pros: Wonderful trip in all aspects.

Exceptional service from all the staff- Meals were outstanding but did not like the set time for meals. Needed option for other times to eat since there is no room service.
Pros: Great service, tours, and food
Cons: Too restricted on meal time, no self laundry, no place to walk-exercise-

I will not go on a river cruise again on the month of Oct. or even late Sept. everybody in our group got sick because of the weather.
Pros: sceneries are close to view and are spectacular
Cons: sceneries.
