Viking Hild provides similar amenities and experiences as other Longship sister vessels from Viking River Cruises.
Naming the vessel after the great and powerful Norse goddess Hild, who happens to be one of the legendary Valkyries, sets the tone for great expectations of this Viking River Cruises ship.
Take a load off at the observation lounge and enjoy the live music, or head up to the sun deck to take in the 360-degree river views in Europe. Of course, Viking Hild isn't complete without the transformation Aquavit Terrace which opens up for al fresco dining.

We are fortunate to have been on a couple of Viking cruises and can’t wait to go again. The crews are amazingly accommodating and want to assure you have a good trip. The ships are light filled and cheerful. The programs are educational and well done.
Pros: Comfortable, clean ships; great itinerary; attentive service

This cruise exceeded all expectations. The itinerary was exciting without being exhausting. All tour guides were excellent and passionate about their jobs. Ship staff were friendly and competent. Wait staff in main dining room were new and not as attentive as I would expect. However, Aquavit staff were superb. Food was delicious and selections varied nicely. Lots of leisure time to enjoy cruising on the river and observing castles and vineyards. Great cruise all around.
Pros: Mosel and Rhein Rivers are two of Europe’s best rivers for cruising. The towns that Viking selected to visit were clean, beautiful, historic stops.
Cons: Rivers may be too low in summer for cruising. However, Viking quickly adjusts to make the cruise as enjoyable as possible.

Viking has the most attentive & customer care conscious personnel that we have encountered on a cruise line. Well thought out shore excursionns, great itinerary. Nice balance of towns & tours chosen on our cruise (Paris/Luxembourg/Moselle River/Rhine River/Basel & Zurich, CH) Good menu selections & great restaurant staff. Our stateroom - Veranda Suite - was the right size for our needs & included drinks (beer, wine, Coke, water, etc.) & was restocked each day. We also had complimentary laundry service - used it 3 times & each time clothing returned in less than 24 hours in perfect order. We will cruise Viking again & if the Hild is an option we will choose this ship no doubt.
Pros: Customer care, ease of transfers hotel/ship/hotel, attentive staff, shore excursions
Cons: Limited night time entertainment (which we expected & was not a problem for us)

Pros: Staff on boat, food, planning and organization, most excursions were excellent
Cons: The Switzerland stops did not meet expectations. Did not see the Alps and were in Industrial cities with limited offering
