Overview
Experience the majesty of Europe aboard the Viking Tor. This ship is one of Viking River Cruises’ Longships which have patented designs and innovative features.
The ship has 95 staterooms, all with beautiful views of the river ways of Europe. The majority of the rooms have balconies, many with French balconies where the windows open up and bring the whole of Europe into your stateroom.
Other staterooms have spacious verandas where you can sit with your morning coffee and take in the breeze and sounds of Europe’s most famed waterways.
For an unending view you can lounge on the Viking Tor’s sun deck with its 360-degree views, or even take a walk around the walking track.

Pros: Viking does an excellent job of providing superior river & ocean cruises.
Cons: We found the dining experience unpleasant particularly w the evening meal because all 177 guests are seated at the same time in the dining room. Lunch & breakfast meals were better because people came & went so the room was not so full.

The beauty of river cruising is the proximity to all of the destinations and a wonderful staff that insures that the traveler is well informed as to what goes on each and every day. If one wishes, one can go from a hectic to a very relaxed experience on the voyage. No one was ever too busy to respond to a question and responded with the best advice and service that was needed.

The Romantic Danube is s wonderful trip for a special occasion like our anniversary. Viking provides the total package and also extra touches of heart shaped cooked and champagne and fresh fruit daily in your suite.

Viking does a great job of getting their passengers from point A to point B. Very efficient and worry free. Entire staff on Tor were excellent, anything you wanted or needed they took care of and with pleasure. Accommodations were well appointed, clean and sufficient space for all belongings. Tours were excellent as were the tour guides. The only negative is that at most stops you are not within the city center walking distance. Suggestion, in Prague, although the Hilton was a beautiful hotel consider a hotel closer to City Center.

The staff was incredible; very attentive and friendly. The food was great. Unfortunately, the river was too low for us to make it to our last port which I was very interested in experiencing the two excursions we had planned.
