A visit to Antiparos is a step into a more relaxed Greece. The main town (Chora) is a picturesque labyrinth of whitewashed streets and vibrant bougainvillea, centered around a charming Venetian castle. Beyond the town, the island boasts beautiful, clean beaches and a remarkable, ancient cave filled with magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. Explore the main town (Chora) on foot. Its charming, car-free streets are lined with brilliant white buildings, boutique shops, cafes, and restaurants. The heart of the town is the 15th-century Venetian castle (Kastro).

Journey to the south of the island to visit the Cave. The cave is renowned for its immense size and ancient stalactite and stalagmite formations, with inscriptions dating back to ancient times.
Tip: Wear sturdy shoes, as the descent into the cave is via a long staircase (around 400 steps).
The area is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Cyclades. From the well-organized shores of Soros Beach to the more secluded and pristine coves, you can find the perfect spot to swim.
Tip: Many beaches are easily accessible by the local bus service from the main town.
Embark on a boat trip from here to the small, uninhabited islet of Despotiko. Here, you can snorkel in crystalline waters, enjoy a secluded swim, and explore the significant archaeological site.
Tip: Some boat tours combine a visit to Despotiko with stops at other remote beaches and caves around here.
Indulge in the island's simple yet delicious cuisine. As a fishing community, the area is renowned for its fresh seafood. Where you can try grilled octopus, fresh fish, and local dishes, often accompanied by local wine.
Tip: Look for the daily specials (the "psari tis imeras" or "fish of the day") for the freshest catch.
In the late afternoon or early evening, take a leisurely stroll from the main town down to the port. The waterfront is a charming place to watch the fishing boats bob in the harbor.
