Èze is an enchanting medieval village perched dramatically on a towering cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, along the stunning French Riviera between Nice and Monaco. While Èze itself does not have a cruise port (as it is a clifftop village), it is an incredibly popular and frequent shore excursion destination for cruises calling at nearby ports on the French Riviera, such as Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer, or Monaco (Monte Carlo). Access to Èze from these ports typically involves a bus or taxi transfer up the winding roads to the village. A visit to Èze offers cruise passengers a unique blend of medieval history, artistic inspiration, and some of the most breathtaking coastal views in the Mediterranean.
Ascend to the very top of the village to discover the grand Exotic Garden, built amidst the ruins of a 12th-century castle. This unique garden features a remarkable collection of cacti, succulents.

For the very active and if time permits, consider walking a portion of the Nietzsche Path, a steep trail connecting the clifftop village of Èze to Èze-sur-Mer. This is a lovely stop to enjoy slowly.
