Embark on an excursion to the prehistoric site of Filitosa. Considered the most important archaeological find in Corsica, this site features a collection of carved menhirs and other monuments dating back at least 8,000 years.
Tip: Wander the outdoor parkland to see the carved menhirs and small museum.
Take a drive to the hillside town of Sartène, referred to as "the most Corsican of Corsican towns." Wander its quaint, cobblestone streets, admire its brooding granite buildings, and enjoy views from its elevated position.
Tip: Visit the Church of Sainte-Marie in Sartène.
Savor the hearty and rustic flavors of Corsican cuisine. Try the charcuterie, cheeses (made from sheep or goat's milk), and fresh seafood. Don't miss trying specialties like figatellu (liver sausage) or wild boar dishes if.
