Overview
The MS Lumière, part of Tauck's Destination Fleet and built in partnership with Scylla, is a purpose-built riverboat specifically designed for cruising France's Rhône River.
The 135-meter vessel accommodates just 130 guests with 50 crew members, offering one of the best guest-to-staff ratios on Europe's rivers. Designed for spaciousness, 80% of cabins measure 225 square feet or larger, including 22 Tauck Suites at 300 square feet with walk-in closets, separate showers, and double French balconies.
On board, guests can dine in the main Compass Rose restaurant or the more casual Arthur's venue, while a resort-style Sun Deck features a swimming pool, outdoor bar, and al fresco dining. The Retreat wellness area offers a fitness center with river views, a massage room, and a juice bar. Unlimited complimentary beverages—including regional wines, beer, and premium spirits—are included, along with enrichment lectures, culinary demos, and nightly piano music. Up to three Tauck Directors accompany each journey, with expert local guides enhancing shore excursions throughout Lyon, Avignon, and the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine region.
