Silver Muse
The staff was very welcoming and professional. The lecturer, Lt. Col. Rick Francona was exceptional. Several shore excursions were canceled due to the lack of staff to operate the tours plus the weather conditions.
Pros: My butler needed additional training. My cabin steward was great but had a very heavy accent, so it was difficult for me to understand him.
Cons: The reception was sporadic, so checking your onboard account, restaurant information and emails were difficult.

Silver Muse
This was my 3rd time sailing on Silver Muse. There has been great improvements in the dining rooms reservations systems which were a problem initially for Silver Muse. She is a midsize to small ship with limited entertainment options although I found most of the guests satisfied with what was offered. The ports of call were wonderful with basic tour options offered. Meals were well planned, served nicely in lovely venues and the staff was for the most part excellent.
Pros: Lovely venues, open bars, helpful friendly staff, large comfortable suites with showers and tubs
Cons: The ship does bounce around a bit in rough weather, Management tries to be helpful but one gets the feeling that the real intent is to sell the guest something as an answer to a question. e.g. In answer to the question, "What wine is being served tonight (that is complementary?") the reply might be, "Oh let me show you the wine list (which is not complentary.) Or in answer to the question, "Can you check with the port agent for the names of some dentists in town?" You might get the reply, "Oh you must see the doctor on board first (and pay his fee) for HIM to make that recommendation." Sometimes the right hand does communicate well with the left. A shore exursion that was booked with a private vehicle for 6 passengers, showed up only able to accommodate 2. (After waiting an hour and a half for a new vehicle, it was given to the group for free, but as one guest commented to me, "even though it was free, you get what you pay for. The guide was awful"

We had a silver suite and the room and service was exempt. The entire staff was also very good. Loved the choices of restaurants but some needed to add or change the menu for longer trips. The excursions were generally overpriced.
Pros: Size of the ship rooms were perfect
Cons: Need iron change menus more often

Silver Muse
The Silver Muse is a beautiful ship, built in 2017, carrying 596 passengers and 411 crew. The small ship intimacy and the almost one to one ratio provides personalized service for every guest and every request. All of the suites are ocean view or veranda and each has its own butler to provide that personalized service and to meet almost any need expressed. The staff quickly knows the passengers' names and preferences and provides seamless service in all venues. The public areas are tastefully decorated and well staffed. There are 8 different dining options with different themes and offerings (two have a per person additional fee.) Activities and lectures are offered daily and provide the opportunity to enrich oneself, to enjoy the voyage, and to get to know other guests. All in all, the Silver Muse provides the ultra luxury experience for which Silversea is known.
Pros: The staff almost immediately knows the guests' names and preferences. The Guest Relations staff works hard to meed indiviual requests and needs. The suites are large and beautifully decorated.
Cons: The food is sometimes uneven, and many guests remarked that it was often not hot enough. The fee based restaurants seem over priced for what is offered.

Silver Muse
My husband and I enjoyed a 14-night cruise on Silversea's Silver Muse, making our way from Auckland to Sydney. We stayed in a deluxe veranda suite mid-ship on deck 7, which provided a spacious delight with its marble bathroom and walk-in closet. Cooler weather limited our time on the veranda, but the inviting suite became our cherished retreat. Throughout the cruise, the staff displayed professionalism with a warm demeanor. Our butler and stateroom attendant truly excelled, enhancing our stay with thoughtful service. Dining aboard Silver Muse proved a mostly satisfying experience, despite one or two dishes arriving less than perfectly heated. The relaxed dress code, featuring optional formal nights and predominantly "Elegant Casual" attire, added to the comfortable onboard atmosphere. Culinary highlights were abundant: Indochine offered a unique blend of vibrant flavors exclusive to Silver Muse. Atlantide delivered a taste of tradition with its classic dining ambiance. La Terrazza became our morning staple, with both a buffet and à la carte breakfast service. Arts Café served as a delightful retreat for days at sea, offering tasty treats. Though compact, La Dame stood out for its quality cuisine and service. Kaiseki’s lunchtime sushi and evening tasting menu provided an imaginative dining experience. The Silver Note jazz club captivatingly combined good food and smooth sounds. Embracing La Terrazza's Italian-themed dinners and the innovative "hot rocks" concept at The Grill, we found ourselves returning for more, though weather sometimes kept us indoors. A highlight of our activities was team trivia, energetically led by the cruise director-a fun and engaging way to connect with fellow guests. Weather did delay our arrival in Sydney, impacting our plans and necessitating last-minute arrangements. However, an impromptu hotel stay allowed us to explore the city, enriching our journey independently.
Pros: Luxurious and spacious accommodations, Outstanding service from attentive crew, Wide variety of dining experiences , Engaging activities and entertainment, Relaxed dress code
Cons: Some dishes not always as hot as expected, Weather affected outdoor dining and arrival schedules
